Spring Games Begin April 9

The Glenview Park District has deemed the fields will be open for use as of Saturday 4/9!  Unless we witness significant standing water, GAMES ARE ON as scheduled.  If you have practice prior to Saturday, please use an alternate grassy location (not Flick, Attea, or Gallery).  Check your InLeague account if you are unsure of your schedule and contact your coach with questions.

Keep in mind that soccer is an outdoor sport, and Spring is slow in arriving this year. We will play in rainy and cold weather.  Play will be halted by lightning or other severe weather.  Weather updates can be found on our Telegram channel:  t.me/GlenviewAYSO

Important Reminders for dressing your soccer player:

Long sleeves and pants for cool weather should be worn UNDER the uniform. Hats and gloves are okay (though gloves may complicate throw-ins). Avoid strings, zippers and hoods as those can get caught up in fingers and hair.

Shinguards are required and are always worn UNDER the uniform socks.

Athletic shoes are required; cleats are optional and recommended.

Every player (except Playground) should have a blue (HOME) and a red (AWAY) kit (jersey and socks) and black uniform shorts.  Bring both to every game, in case there is a mix-up or teams need to share players.

Jewelry is not permitted!
The ONLY EXCEPTION is medical alert bracelets or required religious items (that can be taped down).

Please do not get your player's ears pierced during the season.  Earrings (metal or silicone) are not allowed under any circumstances.  Coaches and referees are responsible for enforcing these rules, don't make them the bad guy or gal by trying to get an exception to these rules; they exist for everyone's safety and are followed under FIFA rules around the world.

All players should have a ball and water bottle (labeled with their name) at every game and practice.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone out on the pitch this weekend!
