Annual Registration

Glenview AYSO''s soccer program runs concurrently with the school year and includes both a Fall and Spring season.  Each season runs for 8-10 weeks. Typically, the schedule follows the course of the District 34 calendar, with the Fall season running from the start of the school year until early November.  The Spring season usually resumes after spring break and runs until the end of the school year in early June.

The full registration season fee is $165 and includes both the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 seasons.  Players have the option to submit a Fall Only registration for a $110 fee.

Registration for the Fall2017/Spring2018 season runs from May 1 through July 15, 2017.  Players applying after July 15 will be waitlisted and placed on teams as spots became available.

Spring Only Registration - Opens in January 2018

Waitlist Registration
The standard registration fee includes the Fall and Spring seasons.  Teams formed in the Fall remain together through the Spring.  Many players, however, do not return for the Spring.  Their roster spots are filled from the Spring waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis.

When will I know if my child has been placed on a team?
1. The first round of placements and notifications will be made in early March, as we fill the spots of those players who registered only for the Fall season.
2. The second round of placements occurs in early April.   Players drop out of the program over the winter, but we often don't find out until the beginning of the Spring season.

Refunds will be promptly issued to any Spring Only applicant not placed on a team.
Notify the Registrar if you wish to cancel a Spring Only application.  Cancellations made before a team placement will be issued a refund.

How Do I Register?

We use  InLeague Registration for all player registration.  What team is my child on? Who’s my coach?  We’re excited to provide this information with InLeague, our new online system for the registration of players, formation of team, tracking of game schedules, etc.

Instead of eAYSO, ALL new and returning players will register as a new user at
Returning players will no longer submit their player application on eAYSO.  You should, however, create your InLeage ID using the same email address previously used to register in eAYSO.  (You can always change to a new address after you've registered.)

Scholarship Requests
Everyone Plays is a core philosophy of AYSO.  Ability to pay is not a requirement to play in our region.  However, you must attend one of the 2 in-person registration events so we can verify your eligibility using the same paperwork as the free or reduced lunch program (or a comparable program).

Volunteers Needed

As part of the registration process, we ask every family to sign up for at least one volunteer role.  Providing a program for 1300 kids to play soccer in Glenview and Northbrook requires everybody’s involvement.  See our We Need You! page for more details.
Be one of the coaches and manage practices.  Be a referee and manage the game.  Or join the field and equipment team to setup or shutdown the fields at Flick or Gallery on game days.  There are many opportunities to make a difference “behind the scenes.”

Your inLeague adult profile lists the many available volunteer roles.  Check the box(es) in which your most interested.  Don't have an Adult Profile on inLeague? Maybe your spouse registered your child?  Create your own User ID at and we'll get it linked to your child.

To discuss any of our volunteer opportunities, send us a note at

Can I make a team request?

AYSO does not honor team or friend requests of any sort.   Please do not make requests to be on a specific team, with a specific coach or with a specific friend.   We'd love to enable friends or neighbors to play (and carpool) together, but we simply don't have enough volunteers to manage the complexity of the numerous requests while still attempting to form balanced teams.
We will, however, form teams around parents who volunteer together as the team coaches and referee.

  • For U6, if you and another adult will coach together, we'll put your kids on the same team.  Recruit a team parent, and that'll make 3.  (We really don't use referees in U6.)
  • For U7 and above, get 2 coaches or 1 coach/1 referee together and you'll have the nucleus of your own team.  Pulling in a co-coach or asst coach gives you a 3rd kid.  And a team parent gets you to 4 kids.
  • Would you commit to one of the Board Member or league administration roles like Picture Day Coordinator, Fields & Equipment setup, Skills Clinic Coordinator? Taking on one or more of the jobs described on the We Need You! page can lock you in with the volunteer group of your choice.

Teams & Age Divisions

Birth Year vs. School Year

For the upcoming Fall 2017/Spring 2018 season, there will be no change to Glenview AYSO's "School Year" approach to placing kids by age division.  However, a recent decision by US Youth Soccer may require a change in our policy by the Fall of 2018.  Click here for more details.
