Our Under-9 Boys Team Win Weston Cup

The Brazilian Soccer Training Center premier team won their Under 9 Boys division at the 2014 Weston Cup & Soccer Showcase. We faced teams from Cooper City, Miami Strike Force, Tropical Thunder, Brazilian Twisters and Miami Beach Soccer to win First Place.

"As I told the boys, 'we will not lose this championship'," Coach Seran, 5-time Weston Cup winner, said after the match. "And they didn't lose. They never lose. They are always winners, no matter what the score."

"There was so much celebrating at the final whistle that I didn't know who was happier, the parents or the kids," says Coach Goz who managed the team. Parents circled the singing children caught up in so much excitement after a long three-day holiday weekend of non-stop soccer action. There was emotion on both sides of the field as the very strong Miami Beach Soccer club lamented a well-fought match and the BSTC youth reveled in pride. Showing sportsmanship and respect for the game, the captains of each team led their sides in friendly handshakes before both went on to the tournament director's stage to receive their honors.

The Weston Cup is a premier soccer event in Florida, one of the top tournaments in the State, and for our players and their families to come out and compete with so much courage and pride really is a credit to our travel soccer program. The coaching staff really appreciates that you are all apart of this remarkable experience.
