Basketball Update

We have regular season games remaining on the Saturdays of 02/10 and 02/17. Early next week, by Tuesday, we expect to receive the tournament brackets. Tournament games for most teams will start Monday, 02/19. Here are the details to note:

The 5/6YO coed teams will play one more game on 02/24 at Lipscomb Elementary. Each player will receive a participant trophy.

The 7/8YO boys rec teams and 9/10YO boys rec teams will begin tournament games on Monday, 02/19 at Crockett Elementary and Lipscomb Elementary gyms. Championship games will occur on Saturday, 02/24 at Lipscomb Elementary. Trophies will be provided to the champion and runner up. Both champion and runner up will advance to the county tournament.

The 11/12YO boys rec teams are expected to play semi-finals and championship games on Saturday, 02/24 at Lipscomb Elementary. Trophies will be provided to the champion and runner up. Both champion and runner up will advance to the county tournament.

The 7/8YO girls team, the two 9/10YO girls rec teams and the two 13/14 boys rec teams will advance to the county tournament and should expect to start games on Monday, 02/26. Game locations have yet to be determined but we think they will be at Academy Park.

The open division teams – 9/10YO girls teams, 9/10YO boys teams and 13/14YO boys teams – will begin tournament play Monday, 02/19. Not everyone will play the first night. All games are expected to occur at Academy Park.

The 15/17YO boys division will start tournament play on Monday, 02/19 at Academy Park. Teams will be grouped in A and B divisions based on their regular season record.

Same trophy approach applies for the results at the county tournament for all age divisions.

The practice schedule will continue as is through the last regular season game and can be found at the Gym Usage links on our website.
