Hello everyone,
My
name is Michelle Foye, and I'll be coaching your kids this soccer season.
I'm sure all of you have been anxious (as I have) to hear more about
the season and to get started with the practices and games. Here's some
information for you:
- Season is scheduled to start Saturday, April 5th
- The
first
practice will be next week. I am awaiting confirmation but I requested
Wednesdays from 6pm-7pm at Roundtree Park in Falls Church
- Games
mainly will be on Saturdays from 9am-12pm with Sunday being used for makeup
games. All games will be at Columbia Elementary School.
- I don't have the schedule yet, but I've been told I will get it later this week.
- You
need to buy a uniform for your child at the ABGC office (4216 Annandale
Rd, Annandale, VA). They cost $40, and include a red shirt, white
shirt, red shorts, and red
socks. You do not have to purchase a new uniform every season if it still fits:)
- Please let everyone know what number you get so we don't duplicate numbers.
- You
need to buy equipment for your child (ball, shin guards, and I highly
recommend cleats). Dicks Sporting Goods has a deal where you can get a
ball (size 3), cleats, and shin guards for around $25.
- I will try to keep the team page on abcg.com updated with any news and the updated calendar.
- We will need help organizing a snack schedule as well.
I
